It’s time for your summer breakthrough with UW–Madison’s Transfer Scholars Summer Award!

Undergraduate transfer students who enroll in Summer Term 2018 automatically receive an award. All spring 2018 transfer students are eligible to receive the award, but must maintain satisfactory academic progress. Sound too good to be true? It’s not. In a 2015 survey, your peers said they were interested in taking advantage of Summer Term but weren’t able to enroll because they lacked funds for tuition. We’re piloting the UW–Madison Transfer Scholars Summer Award as part of our commitment to helping students reduce their time to degree and debt burden.

NEW for Summer 2018: Summer Transfer Employment Program

Designed for Fall 2017 or Spring 2018 transfer students, the Summer Transfer Employment Program (STEP) provides an opportunity for transfer students to strengthen their UW-Madison connections while working on campus this summer. STEP applicants have guaranteed part-time employment opportunities with employers such as the Unions, UW Athletics, DoIT and more. To apply, submit a cover letter, resume and application of interest by April 3.

The summer classroom: an archaeological dig, Bascom Hill or your living room. No matter what format, you get an outstanding UW–Madison experience.

It’s actually less expensive to complete your degree in four years with two Summer Terms, rather than taking a fifth year. Scholarships are available to help with any unanticipated costs.

Lighten your load now and have more time for internships or other opportunities down the line.

Push yourself in a challenging class or get a jump on one of our most in-demand courses.

We’ve got you covered: No apartment? No job? No problem! Housing and employment are available on campus in the summer.
